Vallarta Destination Weddings Now Feature Safety Protocols

The destination wedding industry in Mexico has had to adapt to rapidly heightened health concerns and new government restrictions as we move forward into an uncertain future. New safety protocols have been implemented, and all Mexico Event Design destination weddings will feature these new safety elements.

Assuming outdoor events, all furniture surfaces will be disinfected once set up, all personnel will be temperature-screened upon entry and masked at all times, and all will carry hand sanitizer. At the event entrance, a plastic mat with liquid disinfectant will be set up on the ground and guests will wipe their shoes on it before entering. They will have their temperature taken and blood-oxygen level checked with a finger oximeter. They will be required to wear masks when not social distancing at all times except when eating. Tables will be spaced at least six feet apart, and no more than 8-9 guests will be placed at each table.

At publication time, the state of Jalisco is still under a government mandate to avoid large indoor and outdoor gatherings, to practice social distancing, and to wear masks at all times. While that situation may change, we expect our couples and our guests to comply with all such mandates to prevent the further spread of the virus that causes COVID-19.
